Reach Out and Read | Website

This was, hands down, my favorite nonprofit website redesign project. It was a pleasure to work with Reach Out and Read® and the team at Wanna Pixel. Before its redesign, this website was confusing to navigate and not very mobile friendly, but a thoughtful design process changed everything. After it's redesign, Reach Out and Read Colorado's website was named among the best fundraising website designs in the year of 2016.

Just like a book cover draws you in, I wanted to create an impact with a creative, colorful title that would draw users in to the website.

ABOUT PAGE

With the thoughtful use of typography, iconography and color, I designed an about page that would effectively relay the mission and work of this nonprofit organization. Pulling statistics from ROACO's annual report, I created a color coded map of the state of Colorado that gives a visual representation of services throughout the state.

A NEW WAY TO HANDLE RESOURCE LINKS

The pre-existing website resources, though incredibly valuable, were difficult to find. For the resource page, I designed a grid to organize all the links to information. By using iconography, I was able to showcase the different categories in a way that was visually easy to digest.
